What's a 'Cookie' and how does it impact me?
When you surf the Internet, your browser stores a small bit of text or information every time
you visit certain sites. That small bit of stored text or information is called a 'cookie'. If the site
you are visiting uses cookies, its Web server will ask permission to pass a cookie to your browser. Some
sites on the Internet use cookies for a variety of purposes, such as to keep track of numbers of visits
to their site. The Saddleback Educational eStore uses cookies to simply
remember who you are once you have logged into our eStore. Therefore, no cookie is passed from our site
to your browser until you have logged in. The information on the cookie we pass you expires as soon as
you quit, exit, or restart your browser. We do not store any information passed between your computer and our
website as a result of this cookie.
How do I enable cookies so I can shop at the Saddleback Educational eStore?
In order to shop at the Saddleback Educational eStore, you must enable cookies.
It's easy to do - just follow these simple instructions.
A. For Macintosh OS 9 users:
If you are using Internet Explorer 4.0 or above:
1. Go to Edit, on the menu bar.
2. Choose Preferences.
3. Click on Receiving Files (in the left hand window) so that its options become visible.
4. In that options list, click on "Cookies".
5. In the Cookie Settings window (on the right hand side) there is a drop-down menu next to "When receiving cookies". On that drop-down menu, select "Never ask".
6. Click OK - you are now able to use all the features of our eStore.
B. For Macintosh OSX users:
If you are using Internet Explorer:
1. Go to Internet Explorer, on the menu bar.
2. Choose Preferences.
3. Click on Receiving Files (in the left hand window) so that its options become visible.
4. In that options list, click on "Cookies".
5. In the Cookie Settings window (on the right hand side) there is a drop-down menu next to "When receiving cookies". On that drop-down menu, select "Never ask".
6. Click OK - you are now able to use all the features of our eStore.
If you are using Safari:
1. Go to Safari on the menu bar.
2. Choose Preferences.
3. Select the Security tab so that its options become visible.
4. For Accepting Cookies select "Only from sites you navigate to", or "Always".
5. Click OK - you are now able to use all the features of our eStore.
If you are using Firefox:
1. Go to Firefox on the menu bar.
2. Choose Preferences.
3. Select the Privacy tab so that its options become visible.
4. Select Cookies so that its options become visible.
5. Click Allow sites to set Cookies.
6. Click OK - you are now able to use all the features of our eStore.
C. For Windows users:
If you are using Internet Explorer:
1. Go to Tools on the menu bar.
2. Choose Internet Options.
3. Select Privacy so that its options become visible.
4. Move the security bar so that you have selected "do not restrict first party cookies".
5. Click OK - you are now able to use all the features of our eStore.
If you are using Firefox:
1. Go to Tools on the menu bar.
2. Choose Options.
3. Select Privacy so that its options become visible.
4. Select Cookies so that its options become visible.
5. Allow sites to set Cookies.
6. Click OK - you are now able to use all the features of our eStore.
